Prior to founding Parchman, Vaughan and Company, LLC in 1996, Ms. Vaughan served as an investment banker with Ferris, Baker Watts, Inc. Before beginning her investment banking career, Ms. Vaughan served in the Overseas Private Investment Corporation's Special Assets Division, specializing in international loan workout and restructuring.
Ms. Vaughan holds a Master of Business Administration degree with a concentration in International Finance from American University and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business with a French minor from Stetson University.
Ms. Vaughan serves as a Court-Appointed Special Advocate/Guardian Ad Litum for abused and neglected children. She also serves as a member of the Board of Trustees for the E.C. Montesssori School. She has served as a board member of the Center for Education Reform, the Education Industry Leadership Board, and a privately-held insurance company. She has also served as a Financial Advisory Council member for the Career College Association, a member of the Editorial Advisory Board for Private School Business Magazine, and an Ambassador for the Iron Disorders Institute. Ms. Vaughan has published articles in periodicals including "Enterprising Educators". She is a member of the honor societies of Phi Kappa Phi and Beta Gamma Sigma.
